Dr. Grace Asiano is a postdoctoral fellow at CBT Los Angeles who specializes in evidence-based treatment for a variety of mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder, sleep disorders, and substance use disorders. She has worked across the lifespan with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds. Dr. Asiano has received extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). She has also received training in Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy (IBCT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), CBT for Substance Use Disorders (CBT-SUD), and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), as well as brief interventions for insomnia, nightmares, and chronic pain. Dr. Asiano utilizes a collaborative, empathic, and flexible approach to psychotherapy that is adaptable to the needs and goals of each individual client.
Dr. Asiano received her bachelor’s degree from Santa Clara University, majoring in Psychology with a double minor in Urban Education and Political Science. She obtained her M.S. and PsyD from the PGSP-Stanford PsyD Consortium in Palo Alto, CA. Her doctoral training has included practicum placements at the Palo Alto VA, Stanford’s Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, and Santa Clara University’s counseling center. Dr. Asiano also completed an APA-accredited internship at the VA Sepulveda Ambulatory Care Center.
