Dr. Ian Mathis is a cognitive behavioral therapist who specializes in evidence-based treatments for anxiety, depression, posttraumatic stress disorder, and other psychological problems. Dr. Mathis has taught psychology and psychological assessment at UCLA, California State University Channel Islands, and Florida State University. He is currently a clinical assistant professor in the UCLA Department of Psychology, where he supervises therapists-in-training in the UCLA Psychology PhD program. Dr. Mathis is widely published in the area of clinical psychology, is a reviewer for several clinical journals, and has presented his work at numerous psychology conferences.
Dr. Mathis received his PhD in Clinical Psychology from UCLA, and completed an advanced fellowship at UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior. He is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Society for the Teaching of Psychology, the Association for Psychological Science, the California Psychological Association, and the California Faculty Association.
