Dr. Aaron Finley is a postdoctoral Fellow who specializes in evidence-based treatments for psychological disorders, interpersonal challenges, and managing life’s stressors. He draws on a range of treatment approaches to tailor care to each individual's unique needs. Treatments include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and trans-diagnostic approaches. Dr. Finley also thoughtfully integrates elements of humanistic and existential modalities, fostering both structure and self-exploration in therapy.
Dr. Finley earned his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience at Baylor University, where he trained in the Mind-Body Medicine Research Lab. He completed his APA-accredited internship at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
Dr. Finley has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including:
Community mental health centers, supporting adolescents and adults;
University counseling centers at Baylor and UCLA, helping high-achieving college students manage stress and identity development;
The Trauma Research Consortium, where he provided care to veterans and first responders coping with trauma and post-traumatic stress.
Dr. Finley’s approach to treatment is holistic, collaborative, and personalized. He works with clients to explore the emotional, cognitive, physiological, social, cultural, and spiritual aspects of well-being. Dr. Finley is deeply committed to creating a safe, compassionate space while helping clients build insight, develop practical tools, and make meaningful, lasting changes in their lives.
