Dr. Jonathan Huston is a postdoctoral fellow at CBT Los Angeles, specializing in evidence-based therapies including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for a range of anxiety and mood disorders. Areas of specialty include anxiety, depression, perfectionism, and adjustment to life transitions. Dr. Huston focuses on building collaborative relationships with his clients and using therapy as a springboard for clients to build a valued, vibrant life, not just as a means of symptom reduction.
Dr. Huston received his bachelor’s degree from Ball State University in Indiana, majoring in psychology and minoring in counseling psychology. He earned a combined Ph.D. in counseling and school psychology from the State University of New York, University at Buffalo, where his research focused on the role of language in therapy. Dr. Huston has served as a therapist at a number of universities across the country, including completing his APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship at Utah State University’s counseling center.
