Dr. Michael Dennin is a licensed psychologist with expertise in evidence-based practices. He specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based approaches for a wide range of mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder, health-related problems, substance use disorders, and relationship problems. He approaches therapy using a warm, curious, and collaborative style, tailoring treatment to effectively meet the needs of his clients and actively integrating relevant cultural and identity factors throughout the treatment planning process.

Dr. Dennin completed his bachelor’s degree in psychobiology from the University of California, Los Angeles and earned his Psy.D. in clinical psychology from Rutgers University, Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology. He completed an APA-accredited predoctoral psychology internship at the VA Los Angeles Ambulatory Care Center and a postdoctoral residency at the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center. Dr. Dennin has received advanced training across several settings, including Department of Veterans Affairs healthcare settings, university counseling centers, an anxiety disorder and OCD specialty clinic, and a CBT clinical trial for adults experiencing Parkinson’s Disease and depression. He is a member of the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science and the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies.
