Dr. Vartazarian is a licensed psychologist specializing in cognitive behavioral and acceptance-based treatment approaches for a variety of clinical concerns, including obsessive-compulsive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder, major depression, and panic disorder. She is a clinical supervisor at UCLA Counseling and Psychological Services, where she previously completed an APA accredited internship and post-doctoral fellowship in evidence-based treatments for mood and anxiety disorders. Dr. Vartazarian has obtained clinical experience in a variety of other settings, including the VA Sepulveda Ambulatory Care Center, UCLA Semel Childhood OCD, Anxiety, & Tic Disorders Clinic, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and Verdugo Mental Health.
Dr. Vartazarian completed her undergraduate education at UC Berkeley and her graduate education at Pepperdine University. Her clinical and research interests include multicultural counseling and competencies, immigrant mental health, strength-based counseling approaches, and veteran mental health. In addition to her position as a clinical supervisor at UCLA CAPS, Dr. Vartazarian is an adjunct faculty member at Pepperdine University where she teaches graduate courses in the area of multicultural psychology. She is fluent in Armenian.
